The Mexican rock band Las Fokin Beaches will present a musical, performative and visual chronicle show called Silenced Faces: Concert-ritual of resistance against violence defined by themselves as “a unique scenic experience in which art becomes an act of memory, denunciation and hope.”
At a press conference held at the Esperanza Iris City Theater, the group made up of Luisa Fernanda Román Martínez, Josie Denisse Bouchan Jurado and Ingrid Geanvieve Domínguez Ordoz shared that “this concert is a ritual to summon our ancestors and transform pain into creative energy.”
“Normally we play in alternative spaces, bars or festivals, but the Benito Juárez Theater opens up the possibility of creating a more visual and symbolic concert,” added vocalist and guitarist Luisa Román.
