Mexico is one of the countries in the world where the faithful deceased are honored and commemorated in the Day of the Dead celebration. With the arrival of November 2, many Mexican families build the traditional Altar of the Dead for their friends, family, and even pets they once loved.
Those who prepare the offering gather chopped paper, cardboard boxes, sweets, candles, mirrors, photographs of their deceased, marigold flowers and the foods that those beings enjoyed most in life.
In recent years, images of imposing and colorful altars built in different parts of Mexico have circulated through social networks, which display marigold flowers, delicious food, a thousand colors, incense, photographs and more items that form a banquet for those who are no longer here.
