The rehabilitation works of public spaces cannot and should not be carried out without adequate planning and studies by the authorities and the head of the mayor’s office, Miguel Hidalgo, Mauricio Tabe, warned the local representative of Morena, Cecilia Vadillo.
When asked about the work being carried out on the Horacio cycle path, in the Polanco neighborhood, the legislator for that district questioned that neighbors, merchants and cyclists were not informed about the actions.

For this reason, Cecilia Vadillo called on Mayor Mauricio Tabe to take the work seriously, he must inform, present the planning studies, the time they will last, the safety measures for users of the cycle path and the circulation alternatives for all pedestrians or motorists.
Given the effects on bicycle drivers, neighbors, pedestrians and motorists due to the rehabilitation of the confined lane that runs along Horacio Avenue, in the Polanco neighborhood, the Morenista legislator pointed out a poor attention of the demarcation to management and pruning issues, among others.
“It is something that happens frequently, there are many complaints from neighbors that they are just going to paint and then what they do falls apart after a few weeks, the potholes re-generate and it is a recurring problem in the mayor’s office,” he mentioned.
He stated that it is necessary to evaluate the mobility situation in Polanco, where traffic is complicated by the number of businesses, offices and visitors in the area; Therefore, good planning is required.
“This is Polanco, it is one of the areas of the mayor’s office that the mayor mostly attends to, now let’s imagine how areas of the district that do not have this socio-economic condition are, they are in complete abandonment,” he said.

He recalled that from the Morena parliamentary group: “We have urged the mayor to take the works in Miguel Hidalgo seriously, to take care of neighbors. There is very poor attention, he forgets them or does not take them into account and that affects them a lot, whether in their mobility, transfers or daily life.”
