“There is no cut. Health is one of the areas that has the most budget increase. In reality, the budgets come from other funds, it was done to facilitate the bureaucracy, it is still enormous,” the president clarified.

In addition, he highlighted that within the Federation Expenditure Budget (PEF) 2026, the health area is one of the areas that had the greatest increase in its budget. This is due to the social focus and above all to prioritize primary care in hospitals, this is due to the search to prevent various illnesses in the general population.
“Health is one of the areas or sectors that has the most budget increase, the issue is that the way the data is presented was changed. So it may seem that the national institutes have less budget, but in reality the budgets come from other funds.“said the president.
PEF 2026 will have a budget of more than 10 billion pesos
According to the information, the PEF 2026 will have a budget of more than 10 billion pesos for the next fiscal year. During the discussion, the deputies made a reallocation of 17,788,100,000 pesos in the budget of autonomous organizations.
Regarding the issue of the Health budget, The Expenditure Budget will allocate about 5.9%reaching 85 thousand 396.6 million pesos. Despite the increase registered, the opposition accused poor administration and distribution of resources in some of the most important hospitals in the country.
Finally, after the approval of the PEF 2026 by the Chamber of Deputies, it will pass to the Executive Branch to apply for its due constitutional effects.
