He criticized those who lack popular legitimacy and seek help from abroad, for which he warned that Mexico is a sovereign and free country.
“When we came to the Government, some dreamed that we were going to separate from the movement, to distance ourselves from President López Obrador, but they are going to be left wanting. We are never going to betray the people of Mexico, let it be clear, we are not going to change, we are the people’s government,” he said.
He assured that “those who want to provoke some violence, the people of Mexico say no, together we are building peace, that is why when someone, who does not have popular support, is looking for support abroad to come and intervene in Mexico, we tell them Mexico is a free, independent and sovereign country, we are not a colony or protectorate.”
