The president Claudia Sheinbaum came to Tampico, Tamaulipasto evaluate the prevention actions of the federal government in the face of the flood of the Pánuco River.
In a video that she uploaded to social networks, the national president said that, so far, there are no risks for the populationbut federal, state and municipal agencies remain on alert.

“We arrived in Tampico and we are with Governor América Villarreal, to be able to review the level of the Pánuco River. So far there is no risk, but in any case monitoring is important to be alert in the following days,” he said.
For his part, the governor of Tamaulipas, Americo Villarrealsaid that preventive actions are carried out jointly by the Armed Forces, the state government and the municipalities to alert the population and have shelters readyin case they are necessary.
“We have been attentive to this flooding of the Pánuco River, the low-lying areas are alerted and the municipal presidents are working in coordination.”
In case of any contingency due to the flooding of the river, the governor stated that the population must be informed and the shelters will be ready.
According to the overflights carried out, there are effects in some areas, so they are already being addressed.
