Waiting for your return to Formula 1 to 2026 with the debut of Cadillac within the competition, Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez warned about his return to the category and stated that people will be surprised at how competitive which is still in its reinstatement to the so-called Great Circus.
During a talk for an international media, The Mexican assured that he has always had the motivation to return to F1 with himto affirm that he feels that he has several things yet to prove in his professional career and thus, ensure that he leaves when he wants.

‘Czech’ defies expectations
“I want to return to finish my career in the right way. Although at the same time I thought about whether it really mattered, I decided that if there was not a suitable project and the correct motivation to return, I was not even going to consider it,” explained the tricolor.
Prior to his signing with Cadillac, Checo was related to several other clubs such as Kik Sauber, Alpine or even a regret from Red Bull, with Cadillac being the definitive one. and that was finalized just months ago, to be accompanied by Valtteri Bottas as the two starting drivers for the first year of this North American team.

“I’m excited because I think I still have a lot to give to the sport. I know the last year has been difficult, but I also know how good I can be with the right environment,” he added.
