The Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) reported this Wednesday that it will deploy teams to dialogue with producers who maintain road blockades in various states of the Republic, demanding fair prices for their crops.
The measure is adopted by the secretariat after the breakdown of the work table on Tuesday, November 25. In this context, the The Government of Mexico ratified its willingness to dialogue and address social demands, therefore, it indicated that this deployment is to address their problems “since each region is different.”

For its part, the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) urged agricultural producers and transporters who block highway sections to sit down and talk at a work table “to reach agreements and avoid impacts on the population.”
He reiterated that affecting third parties is not the way to achieve a solution: “On the contrary, dialogue to reach an understanding is the correct route to establishing consensus.”

“The closure of roads prevents the exercise of citizens’ right to free movement and seriously affects the passage of services and products necessary for the life and economy of the communities,” said Segob, headed by Rosa Icela Rodríguez.
Segob indicated that a dialogue table was called with the federal government, but the protesters did not accept the holding of work tables, nor did they agree to the release of the blocked roads.
