Rambo prequel confirmed with Noah Centineo


After several rumors, the production company Lionsgate confirmed that there will be a prequel to the “Rambo” film franchise con Noah Centineo in the lead role.

After a series of talks Lionsgate con Millennium Mediathe studio will acquire the rights to the character along with that of the action franchise “The Indestructibles”; This agreement will allow the production company to develop and produce all works derived from them, including television and video game productions.

Regarding the new Rambo movie, the American actor Noah Centineo will play the mercenary and ex-soldier John Rambo; Apparently, the plot will revolve around the character before his first adventure called “Rambo: First Blood” released in 1982.

 

The new installment will be the sixth film about this character, without leaving the possibility of a sequel after Rambo: The Last Mission released in 2019.

Finally, the film will be directed by the Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helanderwho would have previously worked at Sisu; an action film set in World War II.

Production will be carried out by Millennium Media y Templeton Media with script Rory Haines y Sohrab Noshirvaniwho worked on Black Adam from the defunct DC cinematic universe. Filming of “John Rambo” – the tentative name of the film – will begin next year in Thailand.
