Qatar Charity signed new agreements to support the humanitarian response with several international organizations on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development, hosted by Doha.
The association said that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Organization for Migration, a United Nations organization, and the memorandum aims to enhance humanitarian and development cooperation through a strategic partnership to support the humanitarian response, protect migrants and displaced people across the world, and develop sustainable solutions in these areas.

In a related context, Save the Children and Qatar Charity announced a new partnership aimed at providing more urgent relief to children and families affected by humanitarian crises in the Middle East and around the world.

This partnership will enable Save the Children and Qatar Charity to implement new humanitarian and development programs and initiatives to support the most vulnerable children and their families.
These programs may include cash financial aid, education, health, water and sanitation, food, economic empowerment, childhood, social welfare and community harmony.
In order to actually launch this partnership, Qatar Charity is providing a contribution of one million dollars as part of a joint program worth two million dollars with Save the Children, with the aim of supporting 2,133 vulnerable families affected by conflicts by providing multi-purpose cash assistance.

The memorandum aims to establish a strategic partnership between the two parties through an institutional cooperation framework that enhances integration between technical and operational capabilities.
The memorandum stipulates close cooperation between the two parties in several key areas, including rapid response to health emergencies, providing humanitarian assistance in health, nutrition, water and sanitation, in addition to protecting the most vulnerable groups through health and social care programs and integrating protection principles into humanitarian and development initiatives.
The memorandum is considered an extension of the growing strategic dialogue between the World Health Organization and the State of Qatar, and reflects the shared commitment to achieving better health and humanitarian outcomes for the most vulnerable groups.
