The Presiding Judge of the Federal Court of Administrative Justice (SWITCH OFF), Guillermo Vals Esponda, presented his Third Activity Report and reaffirmed its commitment to consolidate a more modern, accessible and humane administrative justice in Mexico.
Before members of the Judiciary, Vals Esponda recalled that three years ago he assumed the responsibility of presiding over the Court with the conviction of promoting a profound transformation.
“Today we not only present figures: We celebrate a collective effort that allowed us to modernize, professionalize and humanize justice administrative for the benefit of the country,” he stated.

Digital transformation and modernization
During this triennium, the magistrate said that the TFJA advanced in a historic technological modernization.
Highlighting the migration of SICSEJ to a web versionthe creation of Statistical Information System based on Big Datathe launch of the Interconnection Module with the Judicial Branch of the Federation and the development of virtual assistants, including justice precedingfor automated case analysis.
Likewise, Guillermo Vals Esponda mentioned that innovative processes were consolidated with the policy of “Zero paper”digitizing 93 procedures and reducing the use of paper by 45%. In addition, the institutional intranet was reorganized and document management was strengthened, achieving the deletion of more than 480 thousand files and the donation of more than a thousand tons of paper to CONALITEG.
Meanwhile, he said that more than 1,200 public servants took courses TFJA postgraduate courses; More than 44 thousand training sessions were offered and managerial professionalization and continuous training in human rights, gender equality and transparency were promoted.

On the other hand, under his management at the head of the TFJA, he said that he consolidated a supportive and resilient work culturereinforced after contingencies such as Hurricane Otis. In addition to strengthening the equality policiesthe installation of breastfeeding areas, neutral bathrooms and awareness-raising actions with a gender perspective.
In social communication, he said that the Tribunal modernized its web portal, approved its graphic identity, increased its digital presence and strengthened the dissemination of sessions and criteria.

While in the Regional Roomsthe magistrate reported that more than 459 thousand cases were concluded and They expanded the Online Trial 2.0 throughout the country, while the Superior Chamber issued more than 8,000 sentences in the triennium, with a 95% confirmation rate by the Judiciary. He explained that the controversial financial amount reached 1.3 billion pesos, reflecting the national impact of the Court’s work.
The president of the Federal Court of Administrative Justice mentioned that the most significant institutional achievement was the creation of the Public Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanismsthe first national model of administrative justice with a restorative approach. He explained that the director of this center was elected President of the National Council, consolidating the leadership of the TFJA in this area.
Finally, Vals Esponda thanked the collective effort and stressed that the Court “has shown that modernizing does not mean losing its essence, but strengthening itHe reiterated that the institution will continue working “so that administrative justice is clearer, faster and more humane every day.”
