He Security Cabinet of the Government of Mexico reported that, as part of the actions of the “Michoacán Plan for Peace and Justice”implemented between the November 6 and 9the arrest of five people was achieved, in addition to the seizure of drugs, firearms, explosive material and vehicles in different municipalities of the entity.
In the town of Buenavista, federal elements detained five alleged members of a criminal group, including two minors, who were arrested five long weapons, 18 magazines, 1,250 cartridges and tactical equipment.
During another action in the municipality of Cotijasecurity forces located an abandoned vehicle containing a rifle, 20 magazines, 1,790 cartridges and 52 kilos of explosive material, allegedly used to manufacture homemade devices.
Meanwhile, in Huetamothe uniformed officers located six vehicles, three motorcycles, as well as an arsenal composed of three machine guns, 11 long weapons, a grenade launcher, three grenades, 91 magazines and 2,878 cartridges, in addition to 330 kilos of synthetic drugs and more tactical equipment.
The detainees and the seized material were placed at the disposal of the Federal Public Ministry, who will determine their legal situation.
