PAN proposes citizen committee to evaluate service in the face of a 1.50 increase in transportation


Given the increase in 1.50 pesos to the public transportation fare concession in Mexico City, the local leader of the PAN, Luisa Gutierrez, proposed accompanying the measure by a citizen Committee, to guarantee improvement in the quality of service.

“An evaluation that citizens do, that there is co-responsibility and that it translates into better services, security and training for the unit operators”, he stated.

The PAN leader He stated that public transportation in CDMX is deteriorateddrivers do not have proper training and road infrastructure is poor.

In this sense, he stated that the 1.50 peso increase in the rate responds to political support in the 2024 election, but not to the needs or pockets of the capital’s residents.

The increase will apply to Route and Corridor public transportation and the provision will be published in the Official Gazette of Mexico City.

For his part, the federal deputy of the PAN, Federico Döring, described the increase as an “assault on the pockets of the capital’s residents.”

“They did not keep the promise of lowering the price of gasoline and diesel, but they had to raise the public transportation rate,” he said.

The PAN deputy stated that the party will monitor the quality of the service based on this increase in its rate. “Accidents, crashes and lack of driver training continue, in addition to assaults,” he said.
