To this amount are added, for example, 716 million euros from the EAGF – European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, 133 million euros from the centralized allocation and 30 million euros for extensive pastoralism.

The total value, announced by the minister, does not include around 8.8 million euros from the MAIS Floresta program or investments such as the capture in Pomarão (109 million euros).

“This means that we have a diversity of sources of financing. The Government considers agriculture strategic, structuring and transversal, not being just one ministry. I could not fail to thank the work of the Minister of Economy, [Castro Almeida]and the Environment, [Maria da Graça Carvalho]”he added.

In his initial intervention, José Manuel Fernandes, also highlighted that the Compete 2030 program will now be able to finance projects for the agroindustry.

On the other hand, in the reprogramming of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), as pointed out, agriculture gained an additional 111 million euros and another 50 million euros in financing lines.
