The Catholic Church stated that new routes must be drawn for education with the aim of promoting reconciliation and building bridges and not walls, “because in a country wounded by multiple violence, this is a pedagogical urgency.”
Through his editorial Desde la Fe, he recalled that recently Pope Leo XIV, in his apostolic letter entitled Design new maps of hope, He raised three priorities over the seven previously established by Pope Francis in the Global Educational Pact: inner life, human digital, and disarming and disarming peace.
In that sense, Leo XIV asked to open real spaces of silence, discernment and dialogue with conscience, “because young people who experience hyperstimulation and digital fatigue do not need more noise, but rather time to reflect with courage, who they are and what they live for.”

He added that When one in three young people suffers aggression at school, as is the case in Mexico, intellectual training is not enough, but these spaces are required.

He added that Training in the use of technologies and AI must be strengthened, putting the person before the algorithm and harmonizing technical, emotional, social, spiritual and ecological intelligence.
In addition, he highlighted that unarmed and disarming peace policies must be implemented in the face of the increase in school violence figures, due to the fact that an increase rate of 205% has been registered in reports of bullying, according to the Citizen Council for Security and Justice of Mexico City.

The Church emphasized that these three priorities complement the seven routes of the global educational pact: put the person at the center, listen to children and young people, promote the full participation of women, recognize the family as the first educator, open to inclusion, renew economics and politics at the service of human beings and safeguard the common home.
