What vaccines will be applied and until when?

During the opening ceremony, the general director of the National Center for Child and Adolescent Health (CENSIA), Samantha Gaertner Barnadhighlighted the relevance of strengthening prevention strategies through vaccination, especially in the child and adolescent population.

“Since the CENSIA We work in a coordinated manner with the institutions of the health sector, the federal entities and the educational community to guarantee that each girl, boy and adolescent has access to the vaccines they need,” he stated.

He pointed out that the objective of these sessions is to expand coverage and promote the culture of vaccination. “Vaccines save lives and are a fundamental tool for health equity. We invite all families to go to the modules and protect themselves in time.”

The general director of Epidemiology, Miguel Ángel Lezana Fernández, recognized the participation of the UNAM in this initiative, which he considered a success due to the response of the people who attended this vaccination center today and reiterated the call to the population to attend to protect themselves.

“With vaccination, what we are doing is developing a culture of prevention that will go beyond vaccination,” he stressed.

The Secretary of Health of Mexico City, Nadine Gasman Zylbermannhighlighted that vaccination is the most important preventive act of public health, as it prevents serious diseases that in the past were a cause of high mortality. “A society that responds responsibly and gets vaccinated will allow us to have a much healthier winter,” he said.

The secretary of Service and Attention to the UNAM University Community, Fernando Macedo Chagollahighlighted that this activity represents “the sum of efforts of many sectors,” and stressed that attending the modules and joining this day is essential to protect the health of university students, and society in general.
