Israeli startup ARGU recently raised $2 million in a funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company, founded in 2024 by brothers Ido Deutsch and Shani Daniel along with Lior Strugach, has developed a groundbreaking vision of AI technology. This makes it possible to analyze live video feeds in real time without the need for prior model training.

ARGU’s Vision Agents, as the company calls its AI-powered entities, can understand and respond to human instructions in real time. This turns any surveillance or operational camera network into an interactive intelligence system. This technology is already used on four continents and serves governments, secret services and operators of critical infrastructure.

The founders of ARGU bring an impressive track record to their new company. Back in 2020, they sold a video analytics company, which played a crucial role in Andreessen Horowitz’s support. Acceptance into a16z’s Speedrun accelerator program, known for its extremely selective acceptance rate, represents significant validation for the Israeli startup.

ARGU aims to reduce AI deployment times from months to minutes by eliminating the need for training data, model adjustments, or code writing. Through conversational interactions, organizations can create agents that observe, interpret, and respond to events in real time. This could fundamentally change the way organizations improve safety, security and operations.
