Against the austerity policy, the legislators who have used the most public resources are new Morenistas Alejandro Murat and Cynthia López, who do not clarify their activities in other countries

Mexico City. – As part of the expenses on official commissions, the Senate of the Republic reported that this year legislators have required the use of 4 million 887 thousand pesos in the payment of travel expenses for international trips, mainly to senators from Morena, the main bench that has promoted policies of austerity with the use of public resources.
According to the breakdown of expenses, 11,724 correspond to international land tickets, 1,440,788 pesos to international flights, and 3,434,000 pesos to travel expenses abroad.
The legislator who has requested the most public money for travel is Alejandro Muratformer PRI member who governed Oaxaca between 2016-2022 who came to the Senate with Morena. The accumulated expense this year amounts to 560 thousand 520 pesos. The most expensive trip that was paid for with public money corresponds to his attendance at the H100 Latino Inaugural Ball, an event that celebrated the rise of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States. The flight cost 113,667 pesos plus 32,426 pesos in travel expenses. The new Morenoist also traveled to France, Belgium, Switzerland and several times to the United States.
Besides, Murat Hinojosa requested support for her activities abroad, for which an extra 240 thousand pesos were spent on Yolanda Martínez’s trips as the senator’s companion in Europe.
In it Senatethe expenses of official commissions outside the country also stand out, the former PRI member and now from Morena, Cynthia Iliana López Castro, who in five trips abroad reported the use of 333 thousand 759 pesos. In her case, the most expensive ticket paid to the senator was 111 thousand pesos to Uzbekistan.
Other legislators such as Geovanna del Carmen Bañuelos reported 357,390 pesos in four commissions; and Sasil Dora Luz, who for two trips reported 242,138 pesos.
