Emily Bourdon, a teenager from Georgia, recently won the title of International United Miss Georgia Teen. Her upbringing in a military family greatly shaped her commitment to service to the community. Her parents, both former members of the United States Army, instilled in her the values of service and leadership at an early age. She has implemented these values in her ‘Serve and Salute’ initiative, which she launched in 2018.
The ‘Serve and Salute’ platform focuses on community volunteerism and supporting military families. She plans to compete for the International United Miss Teen title in Orlando next July, but regardless of the outcome, her commitment to Serve and Salute remains undiminished.
