The construction and infrastructure group Hochtief achieved considerable success in the third quarter of 2025. Thanks to a strong order situation, the company was able to significantly increase both sales and operating profit. This positive development is primarily due to the high demand for projects in the areas of digitalization and energy transition, which Hochtief has identified as strategic growth areas.
Company boss Juan Santamaría Cases, who also heads parent company ACS, expressed optimism about the company’s future. He emphasized Hochtief’s ambition to play a leading role as a provider of world-class infrastructure. This objective is also reflected in the recent increase in profit guidance, which underlines the confidence in the company’s long-term growth strategy.
Compared to the previous year, the profit adjusted for special effects rose in the third quarter by over 20 percent to almost 183 million euros. For the full year, Hochtief now expects an adjusted profit of 750 to 780 million euros, which represents a significant increase compared to the previous forecast. This was previously between 680 and 730 million euros. For comparison: In 2024, Hochtief recorded an increase in adjusted profit of 13 percent to 625 million euros.
Sales also showed strong growth of nine percent to more than 9.7 billion euros. Despite a slight decline in incoming orders of around two percent to 10.5 billion euros, the overall situation remains promising. These developments underpin the Group’s strategy of concentrating on lucrative projects in promising markets.
