In humans, this variant can cause symptoms such as high fever, persistent dry cough for up to two weeks, sore throat, muscle and body aches, severe fatigue, weakness, headache, stuffy or runny nose, as well as chills and sweating.

In extreme cases, super flu can aggravate pre-existing chronic conditions, such as congestive heart failure, asthma or diabetes.
