The government approved this Friday, October 3, on the Council of Ministers, the proposal for the State Budget for 2026 (OE2026). The announcement was made by the Minister of Presidency, António Leitão Amaro, after the ministerial meeting that took place at the Prime Minister’s official residence at the São Bento Palace.
Being approved by the government, the OE2026 is expected to be delivered next Friday (October 10) in Parliament, starting the budget process, which will end on October 28 with the vote in general. The proposal will be voted on the specialty on November 27.
Talking about OE2026, António Leitão Amaro He was confident of the approval of the document, even though the government did not have an absolute majority support in Parliament.
