On Saturday, November 15, thousands of people took to the streets in at least 50 cities in 30 states of the country to raise their voices in the name of the murdered mayor of Uruapan, Michoacán, Carlos Manzo. Dressed in white, with messages and slogans, they endorsed the demand for justice and security for their entities.

Marches in Uruapan, Zamora and Morelia
In Michoacán, considered part of the epicenter of the protests, marches were held in Uruapan, Zamora and Morelia, where the demand was peace in the country, justice for Carlos Manzo and the revocation of the mandate.
The mobilization in the capital brought together about 9 thousand attendees. It had taken place without incident, but at the end in the Historic Center, an element of the state Civil Guard in riot gear attacked the journalist Liliana Jiménez Nieto with his shield.
Collective demands dismissal of the Secretary of Public Security of Michoacán
The Michoacán Leaders Collective condemned the attack and demanded the dismissal of the state Secretary of Public Security, Juan Carlos Oseguera Cortés, in addition to initiating a process against the uniformed man. In response, the agency reported that the Internal Affairs Unit opened an investigation file against him.
States demand security in the country
In Guadalajara, about 20 thousand people participated in the mobilization that began in the Glorieta de las y los Desaparecidos and culminated in Casa Jalisco, according to Civil Protection data. During the tour, slogans against Morena and the federal government resounded, and although Jalisco occupies first place in disappearances, there were no cries against the state administration.
In Guerrero there were mobilizations in Acapulco, Zihuatanejo and Chilpancingo, where dozens of people demanded that Manzo’s crime not go unpunished. and to put an end to murders, disappearances and extortions.

In Guanajuato, young people and adults shouted slogans such as: “No more fear!”, “Trial of Claudia!” and “Revocation!” in squares and streets of Celaya, León, Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende.
“Mexico is in mourning and needs us all!” and “Carlos did not die, the government killed him!” a young man expressed in a hoarse voice from a small temple in León.
In Zacatecas, claims were heard such as: “Carlos did not die, the government killed him!”, “Carlos Manzo lives, let the bad government die!”, “Uruapan, this is your fight!”, “Mexico wake up!”, “Long live Zacatecas!” and “We are not bots!”
Mobilizations were also recorded in Hermosillo, Villahermosa, Campeche, Cuernavaca, Culiacán, Mazatlán, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez, Cabos, among other cities.
