The also self-proclaimed “persecuted politician of the regime” and multi-member senator spread on his X account (@alitomorenoc) an extensive letter to “public opinion” in which he accuses that the Morena governments have covered the country with “a blanket of blood” in the last 7 years, and takes the opportunity to add to the long list of epithets with which he refers to the government, with that of “failed state.”
“He Morena’s narco-government has made our country a failed State, which remains paralyzed while 60 percent of the national territory is controlled by drug cartels and organized crime,” the text reads.
In turn, he accuses Morena of not accepting the “help” that the US offers to guarantee “the security of the hemisphere.”
“How many more bullets have to continue ending the lives of innocent people while Morena rejects all help and collaboration from the Government of the United States, our main commercial partner, ally and neighbor, to guarantee regional security against organized crime (sic),” the document continues.
Furthermore, Alito Moreno pointed out that being an opposition member in the country implies being at risk of being murdered, despite the fact that both this official and the murdered lemon leader did not make any accusations against the government, but instead asked for help.

“This is demonstrated by the unfortunate murder of the mayor of UruapanCarlos Manzo Rodríguez, who faced organized crime; or the leader of the lemon trees Apatzingán, Bernardo Bravo Manríquezwho bravely opposed the extortion to which agricultural producers are prey,” the text indicates.
