After a search in the Mayor Gustavo A. Maderocapital security elements secured several doses of alleged marihuana as well as exotic animals.
This was announced this Friday, November 7, Pablo Vazquez CamachoSecretary of Citizen Security of Mexico City (SSC-CDMX) through a publication on his X account(@PabloVazC) where he detailed that capital authorities seized drugs and exotic animals after an operation in the GAM.
Operational
According to Vázquez Camacho, the operation was derived from citizen complaints that indicated the storage and distribution of narcotics in a property located on José Rolón street.
In such a way that after carrying out fixed and mobile surveillance and reconnaissance tours, the authorities gathered the necessary evidence to obtain a search warrant granted by a control judge.
In this sense, officials from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), in coordination with personnel from the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ), both from CDMX, with support from the Secretariats of the Mexican Navy (SEMAR), the National Defense (Defense) and the National Guard (GN), carried out the completion of a search warrant in a home in the El Tepetatall neighborhood, in the Gustavo A. Madero mayor’s office.
They secure marijuana, synthetic material and protected fauna
After the diligence, the capital elements, who acted without violence and with strict adherence to human rights protocols, assured 17 bags with synthetic material, a black bag with 30 kilograms of green herb similar to marijuana, as well as 124 doses of the same vegetable in different colored packaging.
Various wild species were also located, for which the support of the Animal Surveillance Brigade (BVA). The agents protected:
- Two emerald toucans
- A rattlesnake
- a boa constrictor
- A ball python
- A white crowned parrot
- Two orange-fronted parakeets
- Two lizards Jesus Christ
- Two spiny lizards
- A false scorpion lizard
- Of the nymphs
All specimens were transferred to specialized facilities for veterinary evaluation and shelter.

It should be noted that during the search, the officers also They found an 87-year-old woman who, according to the report, was taking refuge from the cold inside the building. The woman was placed under the protection of one of his sisters.
