KHAN YUNIS, GAZA - JUNE 8: (EDITOR'S NOTE: Image has been reviewed by Israeli Defense Forces prior to transmission) Israeli soldiers guard while escorting members of the press near the Gaza European Hospital near Khan Yunis on June 8, 2025 in Khan Yunis, Gaza. According to the Israeli military, it struck Hamas "underground infrastructure" beneath the European Hospital on May 13, reportedly killing Hamas chief Muhammad Sinwar, younger brother of the militant group's former leader, Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli forces last year. The Hamas-run civil defence said that during the strike six bombs hit the hospital's inner courtyard and surrounding area, killing 28 people and injuring dozens more. The IDF alleges tunnels under the European Hospital in southern Gaza were used by Hamas as a command center during the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel, masterminded by Yahya Sinwar. Hamas has not yet confirmed or denied Muhammad Sinwar's death. (Photo by Amir Levy/Getty Images)

Gaza- Every time the occupation government violates the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and renews its raids on the Strip, the Israeli army announces that it informed the American Civil and Military Coordination Center of the attacks before they were carried out, which raises doubts about the center’s transformation from an observer of adherence to the ceasefire to a participant in determining the occupation’s objectives in Gaza.

The United States opened the center on October 17, with the aim of monitoring compliance with the ceasefire and supporting stability in Gaza. It was based in the city of Kiryat Gat, inside Israel and 20 kilometers from the Gaza Strip.

Intelligence system

A leader in resistance security said that the field and operational behavior of the American Coordination Center gives clear indications of its actual participation in the ongoing aggression against the people of Gaza, whether through direct information coordination with the occupation or its complete fingerprint on the crimes committed, which cannot be separated from the political and military partnership in managing the war on Gaza.

The leader added to Al Jazeera Net: Instead of the center committing to a neutral humanitarian or supervisory role, it has become part of a system that legitimizes aggression through:

  • Shared data.
  • Operational movements.
  • Sharing intelligence information used to target civilians and infrastructure.

He stressed that the participation of American and British reconnaissance aircraft – whether from the first days of the genocide war or during the current stage – indicates the expansion of this role. The planes carried out dozens of reconnaissance tours in the skies over the Gaza Strip, and collected sensitive data that contributes to supporting the Israeli occupation’s goals bank.

According to the leader of the Resistance Security, the air and intelligence efforts of the aircraft are still ongoing in intensity these days, in the form of a continuous surveillance system that provides the occupation with what resembles “ready operational services” that contribute to the continuation of the attacks.

He stressed that the presence of this uninterrupted military and intelligence momentum constitutes explicit bias towards the attacking party, and is completely inconsistent with the international obligations of countries that claim to play the role of mediator or guarantor.

The security leader continued, stressing that, in light of the above, the role of the American Center must be subject to international accountability, and all forms of military and intelligence support that practically lead to expanding the scope of crimes against the Palestinian people must be stopped immediately.

Field information obtained by Al Jazeera Net indicates that the reconnaissance flights are concentrated in the Al-Mawasi area located southwest of the city of Khan Yunis, and the passage lines for aid trucks from the crossings controlled by the occupation until they reach the distribution centers, in addition to the yellow line that separates the presence of the occupation army inside the Gaza governorates and the residents of the Strip.

Participant and supporter

The US Civil and Military Coordination Center recently allowed Western media to see the progress of its work, as media reports revealed the presence of 200 members monitoring what is happening inside Gaza via reconnaissance planes flying in the skies of the Strip around the clock.

According to reports, the center coordinates the entry of humanitarian aid to the population, and monitors the roads designated for its passage.

In this context, the head of the Palestine Institute for Strategic Studies, Rami Al-Shaqra, believes that the American center manages field operations, and among its tasks is the exchange of security information with the Israeli enemy and other parties affiliated with a network of allies in the Arab region.

Al-Shaqra told Al Jazeera Net: Reconnaissance missions are one of the most important streams of information, but the American decision today goes beyond the coordination role to the role of military and security guardianship over the occupation, as since October 7, 2023, the administrative decision on what is going on in the occupied Palestinian territories has become distinctly American.

The researcher believes that American coordination is not innocent of the waves of escalation, but rather is immersed in the course of events, which is what the American envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff expressed in one of the television interviews when they said, “The government of Israel does not know its interest and we will not let it manage it alone, as we are more concerned about the Israeli interest than the government itself.”
