Subramanian said he was required by law to hand down a sentence that reflected the seriousness of Combs’ “serious crimes,” which he said “have irreparably harmed two women.”
Subramanian himself noted that the punishment he imposed was significantly shorter than the range recommended by probation officers, 70 to 87 months.
He told Combs he was confident “you’ll make the most of your second chance.”
Combs tearfully told the court before the judge handed down the sentence that he was “truly sorry” for his actions.
