The nonexistence of a second relevant episode has a precise way of showing itself in politics: it appears to shine for an instant and fades before taking shape.
This is what happened with the second march called under the flag of the Generation Z, that less than a week after its first appearance went from being a mobilizing gesture to a moment deZinflato. Not only because of the attendance—less than 300 people—but because those who attended were not representative of the generation in whose name they intended to speak.
The protest died out due to lack of air from the beginning. The second march exposed, with a clarity that is difficult to ignore, the nonexistence of a movement behind the narrative, there was an amplified echo in networks and an unfounded expectation regarding spontaneous integration.
Those who sought to mobilize them without visible leadership or cohesive demands made the mistake of those who confuse digital noise with social muscle: a trend in networks is not a substitute for organization, not even a few phrases are enough to sustain a movement.
