The date of the match between Palestine and the Catalonia national team at Montjuïc Stadium
The historic match will start at 18:30 local time in Barcelona, and will be broadcast live on Catalan Channel 3 (cat3), which will provide “coverage befitting the scale of the historic event, which is full of symbolism.”
The Catalan Federation said, “The match will be an expression of sporting brotherhood and social commitment, and will also highlight the role of football as a tool for unity and solidarity and highlighting issues on the international scene.”
The Catalan Federation is scheduled to announce the list of the national team that will play the match, on Wednesday, November 12, led by coach Gerard Lopez, a former Barcelona player.
The Federation confirmed that it will put tickets for the match on sale soon through its official website.
He stressed that the proceeds from ticket sales will go entirely to support the Palestinian people through three axes: “humanitarian aid and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, justice and ending impunity, and finally supporting cultural programs as a form of resistance.”
It is noteworthy that the Palestine national team will play a friendly match three days before that, specifically on November 15, against the Basque national team, at San Mamés Stadium, the stronghold of Athletic Bilbao. This confrontation received a large and historic turnout for purchasing tickets.

“The idea of holding the match emerged from the conviction that football can and must be a platform for demanding and defending peace,” a statement published by the Basque Football Federation said.
“The revenues will be given to a non-governmental organization working in the humanitarian field in Gaza,” he added.
