Delivery Hero, a leading food delivery service, is optimistic about the final quarter of 2025, especially in the Asian market. After a successful third quarter, in which gross merchandise value (GMV) rose by seven percent to 12.2 billion euros, the company expects growth to accelerate further. Analysts see this positive development as a sign of a possible trend reversal in Asian business.
There is an upward trend, particularly in South Korea, which led to an increase in orders in October. This dynamic could lay the foundation for sustained growth in the fourth quarter. Analysts such as JPMorgan’s Marcus Diebel see relief in the latest results as they met and even exceeded expectations in Korea.
The stock market initially reacted positively to the news, and Delivery Hero shares rose by over five percent in the morning. But as the day progressed, the price came under pressure and only recorded slight gains in the afternoon. However, the share has lost over 30 percent of its value since the beginning of the year, which highlights the challenges in the market environment.
The company confirmed its full-year forecast, which was lowered in August, and continues to expect GMV growth at the upper end of the eight to ten percent range. Total sales are expected to increase by 22 to 24 percent after adjusting for currency effects, while adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) are expected to be between 900 and 940 million euros. Free cash flow is estimated at over 120 million euros.
