On the occasion of the Day of the Dead, the Government of Mexico City will carry out the Grand Day of the Dead Parade 2025, a tour that will fill the area with color, music and tradition Paseo de la Reforma and the Zócalo.
The Secretary of Culture, Ana Francis López Mor, announced that the parade will feature the participation of musical groups such as The Lazy, who will perform songs by Rockdrigo González, as well as Amandititita and musicians from The Damned Neighborhood, with its traditional “Crocodile”.
Furthermore, and in accordance with the FARO Aragón call, the theme of this parade is: “The art of drag and wrestling.”
Mor clarified that the tour is part of the cultural poster for the Day of the Dead, which includes more than 400 activities in the 16 municipalities, such as the Monumental Offering of the Zócalo, the Nahuatl opera Cuauhtemoctzin, the monumental dance Muero por Bailar and the mega-offerings in different districts.

For her part, Clara Brugada, the head of Government, announced the parade will take place this coming Saturday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. Likewise, he explained that it will start from the Puerta de los Leones, in Chapultepec, will run along Reforma Avenue and will end in the capital’s Zócalo.
“We call on everyone to be part of this great parade, which pays tribute to our roots and the memory of those who came before us. We want the Day of the Dead to be experienced throughout the city, not just in the Center,” he said.
According to Brugada, The event will have more than 5 thousand participants, including troupes, musicians, floats, monumental alebrijes and contingents of catrinas and giant skulls, that will pay tribute to historical and artistic figures of Mexico.
