Since Monday afternoon, hundreds of producers took over different road points and highways in Jalisco to demand a better price for corn. The corn growers assure that the blockades will remain indefinitely until an agreement is reached with Sader.

Here we tell you which sections are blocked

  • Km 40 Guadalajara–Colima highway: road blocked.
  • Ocotlán Booth (Mexico–Guadalajara Highway): road blocked.
  • Road to Nogales, near the Technology Park: road blocked.
  • Guadalajara-Ocotlán Highway, at Av. Universidad 2000: road blocked.
  • La Barca–Jamay Highway, towards Atotonilco: blockade in both directions.
  • La Barca–San Juan Highway, km 3+700, intersection with toll highway 15D México–Morelia, km 402: road blocked.
  • Santa Rosa–La Barca Highway, km 49+100: road blocked.

What are the alternative routes

Alternate route for freight and private transportation, suggested by the State Highway Police and the National Guard: Nogales Highway
Departure from the Guadalajara Metropolitan Zone (ZMG): Move along Av. Aviación, Av. Ramón Corona and Camino Viejo to Nextipac.
Entrance to the ZMG: Take Camino Viejo to Nextipac, Av. Ramón Corona and Av. Aviación.
Colima Highway, before km 40: Take the El Molino road, heading to Jocotepec, take the road to Ajijic and enter Chapala by road. Only double articulated units do not transit.
