Civil Protection activated the Yellow Alert due to cold in high areas of two municipalities south of CDMX for the first hours of Sunday the 24th.


Civil Protection authorities predicted a cold weather for the morning of this Sunday, November 24 with temperatures between 4 and 6 degrees in some municipalities of Mexico City (CDMX).

Through its social networks, the Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) activated the Yellow Alert due to low temperatures in two municipalities south of the capital.

The affected districts will be:

  • Tlalpan
  • Milpa Alta

This alert includes a schedule of the 00:00 hours until 08:00 hours of the domingo 24 November, as we mentioned.

Faced with the cold wave, the SGIRPC recommended to the population wear at least three layers of clothing, cover nose and mouth, protect pets from the cold, avoid sudden changes in temperature and eat plenty of liquids, vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin C.

For the evening this saturday November 22the SGIRPC reports clear sky partly cloudy; as well as, temperate environment with a temperature of between 16 and 18 degrees.
