Accompanied by Governor Layda Sansores (Morena) and before the shout of hundreds of attendees of “Road! Road! Road!”, the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, pledged that her government will rebuild the Escárcega-Palizada highway, which is practically entirely full of potholes.
He indicated that the reconstruction of this highway will begin next year, because this year’s budget has already been closed.
“Now that we are planning this tour of Campeche and Tabasco, some colleagues told me ‘it’s not that I’m not going to Palizada, because the road is not good’, and I told them ‘well, that’s precisely why I want to go to Palizada by road.'”
“Well, the commitment is coming: between now and the end of the year it will not be enough for us, because the budget has already been closed, but next year we will begin with all the repair of the highway to Palizada,” he said to the applause of hundreds of residents gathered in the center of the Campechano municipality. The President stated that this year has done well for Mexico, but I am confident that during 2026, “it will do better.”
When leading the supervision of the progress of the Women’s Wellbeing Pension program in Palizada, Campeche, the Head of the federal Executive assured that when a Government is close to the people, who never leave, there is nothing that stops our country.
“That’s why I’m sure that this year has gone well for us and that next year it will go even better.”
He pointed out that with the so-called Fourth Transformation “we did not manage or enrich ourselves, we arrived with a mandate which is to serve the people of Mexico, and that is what we are doing.”
Sheinbaum Pardo stated that the transformation that occurred in the country, starting in 2018, “was not only about changing the budget, providing support to those who have less, building new social rights – such as more high schools and schools for young people to continue studying – but it also changed a lot in the consciousness, in the way of thinking of each and everyone.”
He stressed that there is no need to put the name of former President López Obrador on streets or make monuments to him “because he stayed in the hearts of the people of Mexico.”
Promotes the delivery of scholarships
During her tour yesterday through Southeast Mexico, the President visited Jonuta (Tabasco), where she gave Benito Juárez Scholarship cards to high school students.
He announced the expansion of the afternoon shift from high school to university in this municipality; Meanwhile, he advanced the construction of the “Rosario Castellanos” National University, with the purpose, he assured, of guaranteeing access to education for young people.
