CDMX. Mexican regional singer Christian Nodal began his tour of the USAand although successful, it did not turn out as he expected. The interpreter of “Botella after bottle” asked for unity and empathy for the Latin community in the northern country, as they are experiencing difficult times.
It was during his first performance in Inglewood, California, that the singer opened up to the audience and explained that the reason behind his musicians’ absence was due to problems with the work visa
“It has been something very, very strong for me. I share it with my heart. We have been coming with the American work visa for eight years, and this time many of my mariachis were denied it,” he said, visibly moved during his presentation.
Due to this situation, the “Botella after bottle” interpreter took the opportunity to call for unity and empathy among the Latin community:
“It is affecting us all, so we have to be well united as Latinos, as a Latin race, as a race that comes here (US) with the dream of growing up,” he shared with his followers who packed the venue, with an air of sadness.
