The Secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch said that no line of investigation has been ruled out in the murder of the mayor of Uruapan, Michoacán, Carlos Manzo Rodríguez.
He detailed in a press conference that the accommodation of the municipal president’s attacker has already been located.
García Harfuch explained that this was based on the C5 videos, They also conduct interviews with witnesses and videos were requested from surrounding businesses to gather more information.

He confirmed that since December Carlos Manzo had assigned protection and in May of this year additional reinforcement. “Its security was in charge of municipal police and the 14-member National Guard, in addition to two official vehicles,” said Harfuch.
The security chief said: “There will be no impunity, and we will reach its final consequences and all those responsible will be arrested.”
What happened to Carlos Manzo?
The municipal president of Uruapan, Michoacán, Carlos Alberto Manzo Rodríguez, died in the hospital, after being shot this Saturday night while opening the Candle Festival in the main square of that city.
Councilor Víctor Saladitas, a municipal employee, as well as a bodyguard of the mayor were also injured at the scene.

According to the first reports, it was announced that at the beginning of this event and in the midst of thousands of people, two armed men shot at the independent municipal president. When repelling the attack, the security body and police elements injured one of the attackers who apparently died on the way to the hospital and another was arrested.
