Use of resources on networks raises questions about transparency
Fernando Ortiz
Mexico City.- Data from the platform Meta Ads Managerrevealed that the morenista Arturo Avila would have allocated 4 million 125 thousand pesos to advertising on the Facebook platform during the last five years. In this same report it can be seen that the expense included corresponds to the period from August 4, 2020 to November 11, 2025.
These accusations come to light a day after the federal deputy for being dark-skinned uploaded a video to his “X” account in which he denounced the lack of care in the neighborhood. Atlamamentioning that the mayor’s office “governs for the camera, the TikTok and a few” alluding to the presence of the mayor Rojo de la Vega on social networks.
In said video, residents of the mayor’s office pointed out the mayor as an influencer, calling her “Tiktokera lady.”
Also, according to data from Meta Ads Manager The media “Estado Mx” has allocated at least 1 and a half pesos in Facebook ads aimed at promoting the image of Morena senator Andrea Chávez.
In the same report, the majority of the announcements disseminated by Estado Mx are not mere news, but surveys and personalized content in favor of the legislator, and the period covered by said expenses goes from August 4, 2020 to November 15, 2025.
Until now, there has been no public response from the spokesperson regarding the clarification of the expenses that were recorded, which would cause discussions about the transparency of the use of resources.
It is not the first time that Ávila has been involved in controversies regarding public resources. He has been accused by PAN deputies led by Héctor Saúl Téllez, a PAN deputy, of leading a “possible corruption network,” stating that the Morenista would have accumulated an “inexplicable” fortune through family businesses with important public contracts.
