“Alito” Moreno accused that the Government is trying to “break” collaboration with the US by, allegedly, removing Alejandro Gertz Manero of the FGR.
This Thursday, the PRI multi-member senator published 2 extensive posts on USA by removing the holder of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), whom he recognized for his work in favor of legality.
“What the Government of Morena Trying with the FGR is a legal-political coup. (…) From the PRI We are going to denounce this coup attempt to the FGR and firmly defend our democracy. We are going to defend Mexico, whatever the cost! “No to the legal-political blow to the FGR!” he posted.

The self-proclaimed “politically persecuted person of the regime” points out that said “coup” is because under Gertz Manero the Prosecutor’s Office hinders his “sinister and dark purposes”, and since “the country is getting out of hand” they now want to use the FGR to “persecute, subdue and bend citizens, journalists, media and opponents of the regime who speak the truth.”
Moments later he recognized Gertz Manero’s work in the agency, and considered him to be a serious public servant.

“That he has conducted his work with strict adherence to legality, without political overtones, with impartiality, without protagonism and defending institutional autonomy. In times when power wants to subjugate everything, the FGR has maintained its role: upholding the law, not the whims of the government,” he wrote.
