PACHUCA.- Esteban Solari will become the new technical director of Pachuca to face the Play In against Pumas, after the dismissal of Jaime Lozano, sources confirmed.

The Argentine coach will remain in charge of the team for the matches they will play in the final phase of the Apertura 2025 tournament, which will begin next week.

Solari has a past with Pachuca Groupafter having been technical director of the Everton team in Chile, where he led the club to qualify for the Copa Sudamericana.

Esteban Solari He appeared with the Tuzos squad this Tuesday, and has already led his first training session ahead of the Play In that they will hold against Pumas.

Solari will only have his physical trainer and technical assistant during the postseason phase he plays, the rest of the working group will be appointed by the Tuzos board, which will analyze the future of the strategist once the team’s activity in the Apertura 2025 ends.

The 45-year-old helmsman will have his first experience in Liga MX by coaching Pachuca. In his time as a soccer player he played with the Pumas, the team with which he reached the final of the 2007 Apertura against Atlante.

The last team that Solari led was Godoy Cruz in 2025. During his time he led 21 games and had a record of five wins, 11 draws and five losses.

Pachuca will face Pumas in the Apertura 2025 Play In on November 20 at the Hidalgo Stadium.
