After the march of Generation Z in CDMX and the clashes in the capital’s Zócalo between some of the members of the contingent with elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), its head Pablo Vázquez reported that as a result, 100 police officers suffered injuries and 40 civilians were detained for various reasons.
In a press conference, also led by César Cravioto, Secretary of Government of Mexico City, the head of the SSC, stated that of the 100 police officers who were injured, 60 received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.

Likewise, 40 required transfer to hospitals, of which 36 are receiving care for bruises, cuts and injuries; while 4 more required specialized care for trauma and other non-life-threatening injuries.
Regarding the detained civilians, Vázquez specified that 40 people were detained, 20 for crimes such as injuries, robbery, among others and 20 more for administrative offenses, for which the corresponding investigation files were initiated.
For his part, César Cravioto said that the events that occurred in the Zócalo confirm that the call for the march was planned to provoke, differing from what was stated that it would be a peaceful movement and justified the placement of the fences around the National Palace.

In addition, he condemned the acts of violence and blamed the group of protesters for starting the clashes with the SSC elements, which resulted in the number of injured and protesters detained and retreated from the Zócalo.
In response to a question from the press, Pablo Vázquez specified that at the moment, the number of injured civilians is 20 people; However, he did not give details about his situation.
