The FBI foiled a bomb attempt against multiple targets, including immigration agents and vehicles, in Los Angeles and Orange County, Attorney General Pam Bondi said on her X account on Monday.
“The Department of Justice, in collaboration with our FBI, prevented what would have been a massive and horrific terrorist plot in the Central District of California (Orange County and Los Angeles),” Bondi explained.
He specified that it was the Turtle Island Liberation Front, a far-left, pro-Palestinian, anti-government and anti-capitalist group, which was preparing to carry out a series of bomb attacks against multiple targets in California starting on New Year’s Eve.
According to the attorney general of the North American country, the aforementioned group “also planned to attack agents and vehicles of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE).
Thus, he has maintained that his office will continue to “pursue these terrorist groups and bring them to justice” and has celebrated that this is “an incredible effort” by the prosecutors’ offices and the FBI “to guarantee that Americans can live in peace.”

Four people have been arrested on charges of conspiracy and possession of an unregistered destructive device, according to the complaint filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
The plan to bomb was to place explosive devices in five locations with the goal of attacking two American companies at midnight on New Year’s Eve in the Los Angeles area, he said.
The four defendants named in the complaint are Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield and Tina Lai.
According to an affidavit in support of the complaint, Carroll submitted an eight-page handwritten document to a paid confidential source in November, titled “Operation Midnight Sun,” that described a plot to plant a bomb.
Carroll and Page then allegedly recruited the other two defendants to help carry out the plan, which included “acquiring bomb-making materials and traveling to a remote location in the Mojave Desert to construct and detonate test explosive devices on December 12, 2025,” according to the affidavit.
However, FBI agents intervened before they could complete their job of assembling a functional explosive device.
