The company Brazilian Taste of South Carolina is recalling approximately 4,120 pounds of chicken and beef croquettes, distributed in four states and sold online nationwide, due to a labeling error which implies the presence of an undeclared allergen: sesame.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reports this withdrawal from November 4after receiving notification from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about the problem.

The FDA informed the FSIS that among the ingredients used in the production of products regulated by the FDA and those regulated by the FSIS produced in the plant, includes the breadcrumbs containing sesamewhich would not have been declared on the labels of the products of the FSIS.

The affected products have the number «P-45640» o “East. 45640 » within the inspection seal of the USDA. They were distributed to retailers in Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texasin addition to online sales nationwide.

  • Las Chicken Croquettes were developed between March 4, 2025 and the August 19, 2025.
  • Las Beef Croquettes were developed June 2, 2025.
  • Packets of “CROQUETAS DE POLLO SAINT COXINHA XL” (17.63 ounce plastic bags with 5 units). The affected expiration dates range from “11/04/2025” until the “19/04/2026” printed on the back.
  • Packets of “CROQUETAS DE POLLO SAINT COXINHA” (15.8 ounce plastic bags with 15 units). The affected expiration dates range from “11/04/2025” until the “19/04/2026” printed on the back.

What are the risks of sesame allergy?
