The health authorities updated the report of people affected by the outbreak of Listeria which began in August 2024 and rebounded in October 2025. Recent cases are linked to pasta ready to eat sold at stores such as Walmart, Trader Joe’s and Kroger.
Until October 31, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 27 people affected in 18 states of the United States. There are a total of six people dead as a result of the Listeriawith the most recent cases occurring in September and October 16.

Health authorities urge consumers to check your refrigerators and freezers looking for the affected foods. It is recommended throw them away immediately or return them to the point of sale to obtain a reimbursement.
