Every November 11, veterans who served the country are honored and thanked, and one of the best ways to do so is with good meals, and many US chains are clear about this.

He Veterans Day (November 11) is an essential commemoration in the US. It was born as “Armistice Day” to mark the end of World War I, but its meaning has evolved to honor and thank the service, sacrifice and bravery of all Armed Forces personnel.

This day is a public reminder of the deep commitment of these men and women to freedom and the nation’s fundamental values, both in times of peace and conflict.

Below is a list of places with exclusive offers for veterans and active military personnel with valid identification:

Free main meals and combos

  • Applebee’s: Offers a main course free from a special menu. Note: the offer is only for consumption in the restaurant and includes a $5 gift card for your next visit.
  • Chili’s: You can enjoy a meal free by choosing from a select menu of main courses.
  • Hard Rock Cafe: Give one Hamburguesa Classic Smash gratis throughout the day. Additionally, they offer a 15% discount for military personnel.
  • Red Lobster: Offers a main dish of shrimp and fries free with proof of service.
  • Smokey Bones: Veterans and military can get an entree free with a regular garnish when eating at the restaurant.
  • TGI Friday’s: Offer a meal free between 11:00 and 19:00. You can choose between a hamburger, chicken strips, salads and even a half portion of ribs.

Free breakfast, tacos and desserts

  • Little Caesars: Offers a lunch combo free (four slices of pizza and a drink) between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m..
  • PF Chang’s: Veterans can enjoy lunch free in participating restaurants between 11:00 and 15:00.
  • Shake Shack: Military personnel can obtain a Big Shack gratis. Valid while supplies last.
  • Taco John’s: Will give a small combo of crunchy or soft meat tacos free. Valid in the restaurant or self-service.
  • Tim Hortons: will give away a donate free to those who wear military uniform or present valid identification.
  • Torchy’s Tacos: Offers a taco and a non-alcoholic drink free in any of its branches.
  • Wendy’s: Offers a combined breakfast free to current and former members. You don’t need military ID, just your VetRewards card or inform an employee. Does not apply to digital orders.
  • White Castle: Offers all veterans a single combo or a breakfast combo free.

Big discounts

  • MOD Pizza: Offers veterans, military members and their spouses a 50% discount on a Mod size pizza or salad.
  • Pizza Peter Piper: This is annual! Veterans get a 10% discount on your entire purchase throughout the year.

Crucial reminder: Identification is the key!
