The director rules out that it has anything to do with his daughter
Galaxy with Glitter.- Dua Lipa will star in Alfonso Cuarón’s next film, in a move that had not been seen in the entire history of the nepotism of cinema.
The announcement was made coincidentally after the singer invited Bu Cuarón to sing at her concert, a situation unrelated to the director’s announcement of “Y Tú Mamá Tambien.”

“I wanted to make a Gravity 2 and who better than Lipa who already knows what levitating is?“Alfonso explained after having seen his daughter emulate Yoko ONo.
Regarding her role, Dua Lipa did not want to reveal details although she announced that she will appear “in slow motion, floating and wearing glitter”, but it is not ruled out that the film ends up being a musical.
As for Bu, Alfonso assured that the musician filmmaker said he felt “honored” to inspire the artist to integrate into the family film universe, although he rejected the accusations that this was the decisive point in choosing the British artist as the protagonist of his film.

“Dua is a great actress, and if she hasn’t made any movies, it’s because the opportunity hasn’t presented itself,” clarified Alfonso, who is already in talks with Justin Bieber to also appear in a future project, as long as his daughter opens for his performances.
If everything goes well, the singer would be one step away from officially becoming the “Dua Lupita” of Mexican cinema.
