MEXICO CITY.- This Wednesday the authorities announced that 16 people were arrestedin Baja California and Chihuahuaincluding two required for the Justice of USA.
The secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) of Mexico, Omar García Harfuchspecified that in the border city of Tijuana they arrested five people linked to criminal groups, among which stands out Gustavo ‘N’“who has judicial charges before the United States authorities for drug trafficking.”
On the other hand, he reported that in Aldama (Chihuahua) they captured 11 people, including Roberto ‘N’, alias ’02’, “generator of violence with an extradition order to the United States.”
In this action, the official added in a message on X, “15 weapons, explosives and tactical equipment were seized.”
In a joint statement, the Security agencies of the Government of Mexico They detailed that they located Gustavo ‘N’ in Tijuana through intelligence work and monitoring of criminal organizations. The criminal arrested along with four other people members of a criminal faction, whose identity was not revealed.
They pointed out that Gustavo ‘N’, leader of the criminal group, considered the “main generator of violence in the region,” was a priority target for the US authorities.
In the action, they added, they also seized 9 kilograms and 330 pills of fentanyl, five firearms, cartridges of various calibers and two properties.
The operation in Tijuana was led by the Ministry of Defense and National Guard, together with the Navy, the SSPC and the Attorney General’s Office (FGR).
