Bosch Hernández has more than 27 years within Pemex and has held various strategic positions in operational, social and institutional liaison areas, according to his LinkedIn profile.

An engineer graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Bosch has served as Management Control Manager at Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP), Social Responsibility and Development Manager – where he promoted community and environmental programs – and Public Relations and Legislative Liaison Manager, a key position for dialogue with federal and state authorities.

Since 2017, he has served as advisor to the General Director of PEP, a role in which he participates in the definition of policies and monitoring of strategic projects.

Bernardo Bosch had been disqualified for 10 years after revealing alleged illicit enrichment of more than 6.5 million pesos, also as a Pemex worker.

But in 2020, REFORMA announced that a federal court reversed the ruling, freeing Bosch from his dismissal and disqualification.

The owner of Miss Universe Mexico, Raúl Rocha Cantú from Monterrey, also known as the “King of Gambling” for his activity linked to casinos, also has contracts with Pemex, according to a report published by the digital media Emeequis.

Rocha Cantú’s name was in the news in 2011 for being the owner of Casino Royale, where one of the biggest tragedies recorded in Monterrey occurred.

On August 25, 52 innocent people died in the building when an armed commando arrived at the facilities, poured gasoline and set fire, unleashing the incident that sent the entire city into mourning.

After the tragedy, Rocha Cantú left the country and went to live in Miami. Because he was the owner of the casino, he was part of the criminal process, so he obtained protection to avoid his arrest.

Mónica Fernández, who has headed INDEP since October 1, 2024, traveled to Thailand to support her niece.

“Fátima is wonderful, we love her (…) We are happy for her,” said the official in an interview with a Tabasco media after Fátima’s triumph.

Balboa has an extensive political career that includes positions in Congress, promotions in matters of parity and legislation against gender violence.

Senator for Tabasco since 2018, Fernández Balboa has chaired the Government Commission, where she has addressed issues of security, migration and transparency. In the LXIV Legislature, she was elected President of the Senate with 110 votes, one of the broadest endorsements recorded in the Upper House.

The victory was also marred by the resignation of three of the contest’s judges.

The musician Omar Harfouch, who had been considered a jury in the contest, shared on social networks that “Raúl Rocha and his son urged me, a week ago in Dubai, to vote for #FátimaBosch because they need me to win ‘because it will be good for our business’.”
