The President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo met this Wednesday afternoon at the National Palace with the governors that make up the system IMSS–Wellbeingmainly from Morena.
The meeting took place in a tense political context, after the Generation Z march held last weekend in Mexico City, which ended in violence. However, the rulers, legislators and senators immediately supported the President.
At the end of the meeting, which was held privately and lasted approximately two hours, the governor of Hidalgo, Julio Menchaca, assured that the head of the federal Executive has the constant support of the states.

The Hidalgo president highlighted that, in addition to reviewing the progress of the federalized health system, the governors took the opportunity to thank the intervention of the federal government during the monsoon trough that affected their entity “Fundamentally from the IMSS-Wellbeing and a special thanks to the President, in the monsoon trough that hit the state there was a deployment of the federal government, the Armed Forces, all the secretariats, the Federal Electricity Commission, Conagua, and we took advantage this meeting to be able to express this gratitude,” said Menchaca.
Likewise, he pointed out that the meeting served to make an evaluation at the end of the year and begin to propose the budget programming for 2026. When asked about the march called for this December 6, known as “the tiger march”, whose objective is to support the President, Menchaca affirmed that the support for Sheinbaum is permanent: “I believe that the president has the continuous support of an entire movement and a political force, of the governors and of all our representatives”he stated.

For his part, the governor of Baja California Sur, Victor Manuel Castrowas blunt when asked if he would attend the December 6 mobilization: the support, he said, is already daily: “There is support every day for the President,” he said. Ricardo Monreal, coordinator of Morena in the Chamber of Deputies, also attended the meeting.
