Spain, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Scotland officially qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals after the final round of European qualifiers for the World Cup.
Spain reached the finals immediately after a 2-2 draw with Türkiye, and its score rose to 16 points, while Türkiye’s score now stands at 13, and will go into the European playoff.

The Turkish team responded with goals by Deniz Gul and Salih Ozcan in the 42nd and 54th minutes, but the Spanish team equalized with a goal by Mikel Oyarzabal in the 62nd minute.

Belgium qualified
Belgium has qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, after sweeping its guest, Liechtenstein, 7-0.
Belgium, third in the 2018 World Cup, qualified for the fourth time in a row and the 15th in its history, after clinching the top spot by two points over Wales, which secured the playoff after its great victory over North Macedonia 7-1.
The Belgian national team started the goal celebration early, as Club Brugge’s Hans Vanaken scored the lead goal in the third minute.
Then English Manchester City player Jeremy Doku added two goals in the 34th and 41st minutes, ending the first half with a clean score for the hosts.
In the 52nd minute, Brandon Michel increased Belgium’s goal tally by scoring the fourth goal, and 3 minutes later, Alexis Salmaekers added the fifth goal.
The collapse of the Liechtenstein national team increased with two goals scored by Charles de Ketilai in the 57th and 59th minutes to conclude the seven-point series.

Switzerland reaches the World Cup finals
The Swiss national team qualified for the 13th time in its history, thanks to a 1-1 draw with Kosovo, where its score reached 14 points, and the latter’s score rose to 11 points.
Ruben Vargas put Switzerland ahead with a goal in the 47th minute, but Florent Muslija equalized for Kosovo in the 74th minute.
Scotland qualified
Scotland qualified for the 2026 World Cup with a fatal last-minute victory over Denmark 4-2, and its score reached 13 points, while the Danish team’s score stopped at point 11, and it will play in the European playoff, like Kosovo.
Denmark was on its way to snatching a direct qualification ticket to the World Cup after scoring a 2-2 equalizer nine minutes before the end, but Scotland scored two goals in stoppage time by Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean to advance to the World Cup.

Austria to the World Cup
The Austrian national team clinched the qualification card for the 2026 World Cup with a valuable draw against its guest, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a score of 1-1, at the conclusion of the eighth group of the European qualifiers.
The Bosnian national team took an early lead through its player Haris Tabakovic in the 12th minute.
In the second half, the Austrian team continued its great pressure in search of an equalizer, and was finally able to score through top scorer Michael Gregoritsch in the 77th minute, giving his team a valuable point that was enough to guarantee a direct ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
