Today, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation authorities will hold a trial session in Jerusalem for the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Ikrima Sabri, on charges of what they describe as “incitement to terrorism,” while the occupied West Bank is witnessing a series of violations and attacks by settlers and Israeli occupation forces.
The Israeli Magistrate Court in Jerusalem issued a decision to begin a new trial session, today, Tuesday, for the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, as part of an indictment submitted by the Israeli Public Prosecution since July 2024, accusing him of “incitement.”
The indictment stipulates 3 incidents, including the sheikh’s memorial service in 2022 in the Shuafat and Jenin camps for the two young martyrs, Uday Al-Tamimi and Raed Khazem, in addition to a sermon in Al-Aqsa Mosque in which he mourned the Palestinian leader Ismail Haniyeh.
In this context, the Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at the main entrance to the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said that the occupation soldiers stopped vehicles and checked citizens’ identities, which obstructed traffic and created a stifling crowding in the place.
